Sarah-Jane Rowlands

Sarah-Jane has joined the practice as our very own 'Embedded Pharmacist'.

This is a NEW position and we hope she will help us to achieve our ongoing task of providing safe, effective, up to date and efficient prescribing, thus backing up the role of the whole practice team.

Sarah-Jane works in the Surgery 3 afternoons a week looking specifically at prescribing for our patients.

She previously worked at the RD&E in the Emergency Department so has a wealth of experience of issues that come up when patients medication has been changed!

Whilst much of her time is spent 'behind the scenes' looking indepth & advising us on prescribing, she is available to see some patients.  If you feel you would like to discuss specific problems or concerns about your medication please contact the surgery in the usual way.

She offers some face to face appointments, telephone consults, or can receive messages via reception

Community Nurses

The Community, or District, Nursing Team provide nursing services to our housebound and Residential Care Home patients, including wound management, leg ulcer management, administering injections, blood taking and blood pressure checks. They are members of the local Complex Care Team which plans and undertakes the care of people with particularly complex health needs; this team helps such people to remain as independent as possible, in their preferred place of residence, and avoid unnecessary hospital admission where possible.
